BYOUT PAINTING. The quality of work you need

Exterior Painting

The right exterior finish starts with the material underneath it. Wood trim, doors and previously painted siding have different preparation needs. We assess the existing coating, exposure, access and repairs before defining an exterior painting scope for your property.

From surface to finish

Preparation with a purpose.

01 /

Read the surface

Identify the substrate and earlier coating. Review peeling, failed joints, staining and signs of water entry before deciding which areas are ready to repaint.

02 /

Plan safe access and protection

Assess height, rooflines, landscaping and neighbouring property. Access equipment and protection are part of the work plan rather than an assumption based on floor area.

03 /

Prepare a stable base

Clean appropriate surfaces, remove unsound coating, smooth transitions and address agreed minor repairs. Bare or difficult areas receive a compatible primer where required.

04 /

Work with the weather

Schedule application around the selected coating's surface-temperature, rain and drying requirements. Direct sun, dampness and overnight conditions can change the sequence.

Planning your project

What affects your quote?

A quote should reflect the condition and complexity of your space. We assess these factors before confirming pricing.

  • Surface material and existing coating condition
  • Building height and access equipment
  • Amount of scraping, repair and exposed substrate
  • Number of colours and architectural details
  • Weather windows and protection requirements

Questions about exteriors.

Can every exterior surface be painted?

No. Material, coating history and condition determine suitability. Tell us whether the surface is wood, siding, brick, metal or something else; we assess compatibility before recommending the work.

What happens if the weather changes?

Application follows the selected product's conditions. Rain, damp surfaces or unsuitable temperatures may require a schedule adjustment rather than coating a surface that is not ready.

Can peeling paint simply be covered?

Loose coating needs attention before repainting. We also assess why it failed, because moisture or an unstable base can cause the next coating to fail in the same area.

Is exterior repair work included?

Only the repairs listed in the quote are included. Rotten materials, leaks and larger building repairs are identified separately so a paint finish does not conceal unresolved damage.
