Move-In & Pre-Sale Painting

An empty room can be a useful opportunity to paint, but the right scope depends on your deadline and priorities. We help separate high-impact finish updates from larger repairs so a move-in or pre-sale project has a clear plan, rather than an open-ended list of improvements.

The scope comes first

Know what goes into the work.

Focused painting updates for a new home, a coming listing or a change between occupants.

  • Priority review around the move or listing plan
  • Written rooms, surfaces and repair scope
  • Colour and sheen discussion for the intended result
  • Agreed protection and surface preparation
  • Specified primer and finish coats
  • Cleanup and a final finish review
Discuss your surfaces

From surface to finish

Preparation with a purpose.

01 /

Set the priorities

Discuss the move, listing or photography date and which areas matter most. Compare a focused repaint with a broader walls, ceilings and trim scope.

02 /

Check access and other work

Confirm possession, keys and the timing of flooring, cleaning or repairs. An empty home still needs protection and a sequence that avoids reworking fresh finishes.

03 /

Repair what the finish needs

Assess dents, holes and failed caulk joints in the selected areas. Separate cosmetic preparation from moisture, structural or extensive surface problems.

04 /

Finish for the next stage

Confirm the colour direction, apply the agreed finish and review the result. Discuss handling and cleaning requirements before moving furniture back in or preparing photographs.

Planning your project

What affects your quote?

A quote should reflect the condition and complexity of your space. We assess these factors before confirming pricing.

  • Number of priority rooms and surfaces
  • Existing colours and wall condition
  • Trim, ceiling and door inclusion
  • Possession dates and other-trade dependencies
  • Furniture and access during the project

Questions about move-in & pre-sale.

Which rooms should I paint before listing?

Start with visible wear, disconnected colours and the spaces that feature most in the viewing route. We can assess a focused scope; your real estate adviser can help determine what fits the listing strategy.

Can you paint before we move our furniture in?

Yes. Share the possession date and access arrangements. The quote and sequence consider repairs, drying and any flooring or other work that must happen first.

Is a neutral colour always the best choice?

A useful colour choice depends on light, flooring, cabinetry and the intended audience. Samples viewed in the actual room are more reliable than a colour selected from a screen alone.

Can you guarantee completion before our listing photos?

A date can be agreed only after the scope, access and dependencies are assessed. Tell us your target early so we can discuss availability and a realistic plan.

Let’s plan the right finish.
